Vince Zampella, Has Died in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.

The celebrated game designer lost his life when his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a highway in LA on this past Sunday, as reported by.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
