Ex- Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a former physician stands accused of committing assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients.
The Serious Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A senior CPS official commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
