Ex- BBC Advisers Undergo Parliamentary Inquiry After Assertions of Prejudice in Leaked Memorandum

We open with questions from Tory Member of Parliament the panel's head, who oversees the committee.

She initiates by giving background to the disclosed memorandum authored by Michael Prescott and printed in a daily publication.

"I don't want the BBC tilting this way or that way, My only wish is for it balanced, fair and just," he states.

Upon being questioned whether he considers the British Broadcasting Corporation is structurally prejudiced, he answers: "No I don't. To be clear, numerous aspects the BBC produces is exceptional - encompassing factual and non-factual shows."

Nevertheless, he states: "There remains real work that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

A further former external British Broadcasting Corporation specialist questioned by the committee, Caroline Daniel, remarks she views the British Broadcasting Corporation with great importance and that it operates a "persistent practice and vigorous discourse" on evolving and intricate subjects.

"Whether the BBC was willing to have a proper conversation and debate and take action?" she questions. "As I see it, yes they were."
