Battlefield 6 BR Mode Launches Very Soon as a F2P Game Mode

Following months of speculation, the BR mode for BF6 is finally launching. The latest talk suggesting its arrival would align with the new season were spot-on. Fans can access the gameplay starting tomorrow.

Launch Season Bringing a Brand-New Arena, Mode, and Weapons

In tandem with the BR mode, Season 1 is also starting. This introduces a new map, a additional style, and an expanded arsenal. What's more, Redsec is arriving. A embedded teaser will go live at go-live, giving fans a taste of what's to come.

Free-to-Play Access Makes Redsec Available to All

Possibly the biggest news is that this new experience will be complimentary. Much like popular titles, you do not need to buy the main title to join in. Some participants have already tested alpha versions of the mode. These trials were conducted in Battlefield Labs, which the studio described as their largest player partnership project.

The heart-pounding excitement during encounters with opposing teams can't be found in any other battle royale. It feels a true survival situation, and you really mind if you live or perish.
Even though I considered myself a skeptic beforehand, I'm completely supportive of the battle royale after playing it.

These early reactions from testers have been very positive. Certainly, the gameplay may have changed over the last month or two in terms of game balance and tempo. However, early signs are positive that this new mode could become a true rival to established titles. Some are wishing that the top weapons from the base title will be available in the new mode.
