In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations resonate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden group.

The adventure centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an special katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
